Paul Gadbois – “As a Musician, Composer, Engineer, and Producer I’ve been on this musical journey for over 60 years”.
From 5 to 65, from 0 to warp 5. The last 60+ years of my life have been filled with interesting and exciting moments. In every stage of my life, the one common thread has always been music. Listening, learning, performing, recording. Rinse and repeat!
For me, it all got started back when there was no such thing as FM radio. All we had was AM stations with lots of static. We also had these small real to real tape recorders with a handheld microphone. I remember sitting in front of my portable AM radio tuned into WOLF—the local Rock station in Syracuse NY—with my tape recorder in hand, just waiting for my favorite song to come on the radio. As soon as I heard my song, I would pop my tape deck into record mode and put the handheld mic against the radio speaker.
I was hooked—a music junkie—unapologetically addicted to Rock, Blues, Pop, Country and recording!
60+ years later I’m still here. However, now I find myself immersed into the wacky world of digital music and video streaming. My music on Spotify for all the world to hear. It’s crazy to think about everything that has changed to get us from there to here. However, the one thing that hasn’t changed in all these years is the relationship between the musician and the audience. You were with us musicians in the beginning, and you’re still with us today. Everything we do, we do it for you, and we couldn’t do it without you. So thank you!
